A few days before Thanksgiving I was standing at my sink and discovered that the linoleum in my kitchen was bubbled up. I told Kevin this,to which he replied..."uh-oh, That's no good." So we cleaned out the cupboard under our sink and this is what we found:
Plus, when we stepped on the bubbled floor you could hear it squishing with water. We had a leaking faucet that apparently had been leaking for a while. So we called our insurance company to come take a look at it. The next day they came and discovered that it had soaked up under our cabinets as well, and the sub-floor had gotten wet. So that meant......NEW KITCHEN!!! I was a little hesitant at first because I din't want to be out of a kitchen for that long, especially during the best baking time of the year. However, eventually the idea kind of settled in my head and I got VERY excited. Our kitchen was kind of an eye sore, so an upgrade was definately a plus. The guys that worked on it did a great job and we are so happy with how it turned out. Here are some before and after shots.
BEFORE: Awesome 70's style
AFTER: So much nicer
So happy we went with the pergo floors-they are so pretty!
Cam likes the new kitchen,too.

love it, love it, love it...how does that gold fridge look? I really like that you had some of the cabinets above the bar not come as low.
Now THAT's a blessing from a disaster. And it turned out so beautiful! I'm jealous!
:~D
